Wheelfulness Studio is a tranquil and inviting pottery workshop nestled in the quiet suburb of Willoughby. This small studio is equipped with four wheels and it is a hidden gem where you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the therapeutic art of pottery.
Classes are held by Bettina Stevanovic, who offers a unique therapeutic approach to pottery. Drawing on her psychology background and sensorimotor art therapy training, Bettina incorporates somatic mindfulness to enhance presence and stillness at the spinning wheel.
Prior to working with clay, Bettina has completed PhD in psychology and worked in academia. Her pottery journey started as a hobby in 2015 when she discovered that the tactile sensation of clay and the rhythmic movement of the wheel had a soothing effect on her overactive mind. She started Wheelfulness pottery in 2019 and enjoys helping others discover their inner potter. To further explore the therapeutic benefits of working with clay, Bettina has has undertook training in Clay Field Therapy® and now also offers somatic clay therapy sessions.
