What you'll do
Hi, my name is Amy, and I run FunkyFunYou, an art jewellery and DIY kit brand based in Melbourne. I’m thrilled to host this cozy, hands-on workshop where we’ll explore the magic of silver clay.Join me as we delve into the process of setting stones into rings. You’ll get to mold and shape up to 5g of silver clay—enough for one ring—and choose from a selection of cubic zirconia stones to create a piece that’s uniquely yours.Our workshop is designed to be a fulfilling 2.5-hour experience. We'll spend the first 90 minutes getting to know the material and crafting your ring. Then, we’ll take a 15-minute break to let your creation dry. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to sand and perfect your new ring.Please note, we won’t be able to fire the rings during the workshop. Instead, I’ll fire and polish them for you later on. You can expect to receive your finished ring by post approximately 2 weeks after the workshop.The workshop will take place at various locations, but most often it’s held in my home-based studio in Blackburn. Occasionally, sessions might be hosted in a bar environment in Collingwood or Fitzroy, where it will be more open and there may be other people around. Please keep this in mind when booking.
