free_cancellation A $500 deposit is due at time of booking. This is made up of a $250 security bond and a $250 non-refundable deposit. The remainder of the booking fee is due 28 days out from the event. All cancellations must be made in writing.
Writing NSW occupies Garry Owen House, a restored Georgian manor set in the leafy grounds of Callan Park, Lilyfield. Built in 1840, the heritage-listed building boasts unique architecture including a stunning ceiling dome, high timber doors and a wide wraparound verandah.
The Judith Wright room, used for workshops and lectures, is a beautiful space for learning and collaboration. It is located on the ground floor with north and west facing windows giving views of the verandah and parklands surrounding the building.
The room measures approximately 6.5m x 9m, and accommodates up to 60 people with lecture-style seating and up to 20 people with a u-shape table configuration for workshops.
The ground floor of the venue is wheelchair accessible and there are unisex ambulant and wheelchair-accessible toilets also located on the ground level.
There is a whiteboard available, as well as a mobile projector and screen.
The large, airy room is fitted with ceiling fans and a heater (no air-conditioning).
