What you'll do
Relax and enjoy some time learning the art of painting on silk at this mobile workshop in Fingal Head. Let me (Sahra) guide you through the process of painting with dye onto 100% pure silk. Create abstract colour patterns as the dye flows and mixes to create beautiful colours and blends.Get your friends together, relax with your favourite drinks and snacks and allow me to show you how to create gorgeous wearable artworks that you can take home.No experience is necessary---it is easy to follow along, learn about the dyes and how to mix the colours to create every colour in the rainbow. We supply a sample piece of silk to practise and learn how the silk and dyes mix together.The silk is of the highest quality 100% pure Habotai silk. Enjoy the luxury of pure silk in a beautiful wearable artwork that you created.Please have a table and chair for each attendee. I will supply the silk, dye, paint pallets, brushes, water bowls, towels, washing bowls, and setting agent, ironing mat and iron.You will need access to a microwave if possible (advise me if you don't have one).

No experience is needed.
What you'll get
- A gorgeous silk scarf that is an original work of art that you can wear.
- The scarf is 13 x 112 cm perfect to wear as a neck scarf, hair tie or hat ribbon.
- Sample piece of silk that you practiced on.
