Sculpture Course with a Life Model

Learn how to sculpt a human form in this ten-session sculpture course!The evening course with a life model can focus on the structural composition of human form or portraiture, practising and working on fundamental exercises to achieve your sculpture. You are encouraged to express and create your own artwork, with the flexibility of working with both water-based or oil-based clay. The type of clay will determine the type of armature required for each project. Please note: armatures are not included in the session fees and is optional according to your sculpture design.Each sculpture is yours to take home and we can recommend local kiln services in the area for a ceramic finish. Come experience the satisfaction of making something with your hands, and enjoy this playful and creative session with our friendly teachers and students.Each term consists of 10 classes, 3 hrs per session each week. with the same pose and same model.Allowing you to connect with your work intimately and to quickly learn the basics if you're a beginner, and apply more complex skills and new techniques within a few sessions, grasping composition, structure, proportions and properties of the different mediums.You will be able to work on either:* 1/3 full figure with Oil or Water-based clay*life-size or 3/4 Sculpture portrait (Head to shoulders) with oil or water-based clay*Torso life-size or half-life depending on experience, Working with water-based clayFull-term courses require a minimum of five students. In the unlikely event that we don’t reach the minimum, we will cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.The classes are small, so we can guide you individually and tailor the sessions according to your sculpting skills and past experience.

All our classes are designed for both beginners to advanced students.
