What you'll do

Treat yourself, maybe bring a friend too and spend the day learning to paint this magnificent painting at the very groovy Art Maker's Space in Colac.

In this beginner-friendly class, a friendly art instructor will guide you step by step on how to draw using a grid, create layers of colour, add texture using a palette knife and modelling paste. We use high-quality paint (heavy-bodied acrylic), helping to make your painting that bit more fabulous too!

Get hands-on and learn how to mix colours and create depth with light and shade! Maybe you want to paint something fabulous as a gift for someone special!

Paint your way through to lunch, delicious country farmhouse soup with crunchy bread. Sip on your choice of bubbles or some sangria to get the creative juices flowing for the rest of the class. You'll also get to listen and groove to some classic Latin tunes too!

At the end of this class, you'll have your very own completed “Black Cockatoo” artwork to display in your home and admire. The photos show you the results that you can achieve at this workshop even if you are a first-time painter!
