Melody is a talented artist and a great teacher. Had all the materials needed and getting a watercolour journal and tips to take away was a bonus. Great food, well paced and techniques demonstrated perfectly. I can't paint but I came away with a painting I am proud of. Would do any course she teaches.

This class which Melody offered, to paint our travel photos, was very relaxing and enjoyable. Her light and airy studio was the perfect setting and the table was set out in an organised way for us to begin our painting experience. Melody taught us some simple and effective techniques and demonstrated her style with examples. We had time to practice and everything she said was clearly explained. She supplied good quality materials and we were gifted a lovely watercolour journal. Melody was interested in everyone’s artistic background and personal interests for choosing her course.I loved that she advertised travel painting as I had long dreamed of capturing my own travel stories. The time we had to do our practice, have some afternoon tea and complete one major piece was very good value for money.

Great workshop in an amazing studio. Got a chance to learn the basics and build on them in this class. Melody was a fantastic and patient teacher. Can’t wait to practice what we learnt.

Great studio to learn in with lot of natural light and unique art pieces. Melody was so generous with her time and taught some great skills & techniques such a colour blending, gradients and use of special felt tip. Also a delicious morning tea was provided :)

An interactive fun watercolour travel journal class with kit provided. Melody was a great facilitator and very helpful on the practical front. The techniques taught enabled us to sketch and paint our own landscape. All the works were impressive so the class were very happy with ourselves. I Would greatly recommend this for anyone starting out with watercolours or just wanting to try an artistic pursuit. A lovely relaxed vibe at this workshop and gentle teaching style ensured we all went home satisfied and happy with our artwork. Well done Melody

Loved Melody’s watercolour workshop. Bright enthusiastic energy and love for art.
The venue was like a holiday away from home atmosphere.
Workshop so well planned to every detail with your own Travel watercolour journey book.
We were shown step by step how to mix colours and what brush to use and different techniques with water or dry on paper.
Yummy delicious afternoon tea with refreshing varied teas and coffee.
Workshop was value for money.
I loved every minute at Melody’s workshop.

Melody was so great, she explained everything so well for us total beginners and didn’t go through things too fast. Afternoon tea that was provided was a wonderful surprise and everyone was so happy with their finished work. Absolutely recommend this workshop to anyone at any level, you don’t need to be good at drawing to do this if you’re concerned.

Brilliant class! Mel is so kind and patient, and fun! She walked us through different watercolour techniques and then showed us how to use them in our landscape artwork. She was excellent at catering for the various levels of skill within the class. Will definitely be coming again

Had an amazing time doing lino printing today! Melody is a great teacher and the class had a very relaxed feel. She's also a seriously great person, I accidentally left my stamp behind and she rang me as soon as she noticed so I could come back and get it!
I would definitely recommend this class to anyone of any skill level, I've never done anything like this since high school forever ago and had such a great time and made something I'm super happy with!

I attended the workshop by Melody Suranyi on the Watercolour Travel Journalling Workshop. Right from the start (email with welcome and directions) were very clear and well organised. The venue was very conducive to learning and crafting/painting. The workshop was well structured, well paced and I felt a great sense of achievement with my finished piece. I have not painted for over 40 years since school days! Melody taught the fundamentals of water-colouring, techniques, what colours and brushes to use, before we started on our selected pieces from our travel photos. It was amazing how a few basics helped me achieve my finished result. The workshop suits beginners all the way to more advanced painters as we all work at our own pace in a structured but not controlling environment. She knows her stuff! Highly recommended.

Melody was a delight! She is kind, supportive, helpful and approachable. She engaged all the students during the class and promoted an inclusive space. Her teaching style enabled us to inflict our own creative flare and she gave various suggestions on how to personalise our artwork. There were many techniques to try and she easily catered for beginners! I would highly recommend taking a class with Melody even if your not much of a painter (like me!) as you will feel like you have not really sat there long at all (even though you have been painting for 4 hours!).
