In this course, you will learn all the basics of woodworking and take a hands-on approach to master new skills, as well as understand some basic theory too.
What this course will cover:- Timber identification and selection
- Timber furniture design principles
- Safe use of woodworking machinery including drill press, jigsaw, router, drop saw, thicknessor, drum sander, orbital sander and panel saw.
- Safe use of hand tools
- Basic joinery techniques including mitres, clamping up a table top and use of biscuit joining machines
- Sanding and finishing techniques
With guidance from an expert tutor, you'll learn the processes required to make three beautiful pieces of solid timber furniture that you can take home at the end of the course!
Please note: Timber required for plant holders, chopping boards and tables is recycled Australian hardwood valued at over $95 and included in course price.
