In this pottery course in Emu Plains, you will immerse yourself in the world of ceramics and learn the fundamental techniques necessary to create your own unique pieces. Throughout the workshop, you will explore the art of pinch potting, slab building and coil building, gradually honing your skills with each new technique learned.
  • Week one will focus on mastering the art of pinch potting, allowing you to create organic and free-form shapes.
  • Week two will introduce you to slab building, where you will learn to construct pieces using flat sheets of clay.
  • Week three will delve into the world of coil building, enabling you to produce intricate and textured forms with ease.
Following these foundational weeks of learning and practice, you will then embark on a two-week project, applying the techniques you have learn to craft a personalized item of your choosing. The six-week course will finish with a session dedicated to painting and glazing your creations, adding the finishing touches to your pottery project.
Under the guidance of experienced instructors and with all necessary materials provided, you will uncover the joy of working with clay and witness your creations come to life through each step of the process.
By the end of the workshop, you will not only have a newfound appreciation for the art of pottery but also a collection of handcrafted pieces to showcase in your home or gift to loved ones.
